Meet Megan Van Zyl and How Nutritional Therapy changed my life!

I began my journey in the holistic health arena as a college student. After moving to Nashville, I encountered various health challenges in my life as well as the lives of others.

I had to overcome anxiety attacks, depression, and PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). Through overcoming these various emotional, physical, and spiritual issues, I began to have a passion to help others conquer their own health issues whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual.

The dream grew as I worked with a family who had a child with autism. Through working with this family, my passion to help families with major health challenges grew dramatically.

My compassion and love for people drives me on to help my clients find true holistic health care. My training as a counselor, minister, and Nutritional Therapist ( gives me a true holistic perspective on the body, soul, and spirit of my clients.

My vision for The Green Umbrella was birthed in South Africa where I worked with at-risk youth as well as HIV/AIDS orphans. The ultimate vision of The Green Umbrella is to restore health to Americans while funding the need for orphanage work.

Please contact me for more information about how I can help alleviate your symptoms and help you to get under the green umbrella for your health!

Meet Rebecka Hagen

Rebecka Hagen is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, whose practice focuses on digestive system repair, weight loss and hormonal rebalancing, sugar detox and blood sugar balancing, cardiovascular risk factor reduction, and cancer survivor nutrition.

Rebecka has had a passion for keeping people healthy since her childhood years growing up on a farm in Minnesota. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Public Health.

In spite of her efforts to eat healthy and to reduce family risk factors for heart disease, she was blindsided in 2008, when she received a diagnosis of cancer. Her journey of surviving cancer and conventional treatment led her to rediscover true nutrition and the foundational necessity of eating nutrient-dense, whole foods in order to rebuild and maintain her health.

Now Rebecka's passion is to teach her clients about health and nutrition, and to enable them to use nutrition and lifestyle changes to uniquely address their health challenges and to reclaim their health and zest for living. Properly prepared, nutrient dense foods can truly nourish the body and provide it with the means to begin to repair, renew, and restore optimal functioning and health. Addressing lifestyle factors can further restore vitality and the ability to embrace life to the fullest.
